Organized by Tehran Beautification Organization, affiliated to Tehran Municipality, the event will host five Iranian and six foreign sculptors, Mehr News Agency reported.
Iranian sculptors are Mostafa Mohseni, Saeed Mhmoudi, Hamidreza Sadeq-Zadeh, Bijan Ghonchepour and Mohammad Marvasti, while foreign participants include Klaus F. Hunsicker (Germany), Oscar Aguirre Comendador (Spain), Francesca Bernardini (Italy), Genti Tavanxhiu (Albania), Michael Levchenko (Ukraine) and Zdravko Zdravkov (Bulgaria).
This edition of the symposium aims to introduce and promote Iran's status as the main hub of sculpting in the Middle East.
The symposium has established 'Gouhare bright marble' as a special material.
Also, the peripheral section of the symposium provides an opportunity for Iranian sculpture students to gain experience in the art of stone sculpting and to provide instructions on stone sculpture techniques.
The event will begin on September 26 and run until October 16.
